January 26, the round table “Freedom of association and human rights protection of vulnerable groups” organized by the Solidarity Center in Ukraine and the “Labor Initiatives” NGO was held. Members of the International Labor Organization, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Office, Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, “Donbass SOS” NGO, “Right to Protection” Charity Fund, Center for Civil Liberties Solidarity Center in Georgia as well as the trade unions from Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova participated in the discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The emphasis was made on the most serious problems which the Ukrainian society has faced, namely the extremely high rates of migrations and internal displacement and more neoliberal tendencies in the the legislative initiatives at the same time, the prospects for decent social and economic conditions for most vulnerable groups and the role of trade unions and NGOs in this field.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
