{"id":7565,"date":"2026-07-06T19:20:01","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T16:20:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/?post_type=news&#038;p=7565"},"modified":"2026-07-28T19:22:55","modified_gmt":"2026-07-28T16:22:55","slug":"veterans-supporting-veterans-in-the-labor-market","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/en\/news\/veterans-supporting-veterans-in-the-labor-market\/","title":{"rendered":"Veterans Supporting Veterans in the Labor Market"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>From 2 to 5 July, LI\u00a0supported a three-day <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/gotrudovi\/posts\/pfbid0kaA34n7uE2ymXHqYmvjxctSLa3Ce21UA2Y6KW7EzjZJQ77oNgK861iL1UsJD8FAYl\">training<\/a> program in Vinnytsia, bringing together 25 war veterans who work as career consultants within UNIT 6.0, an initiative by the Reskilling Ukraine project, supported by the Swedish non-profit Beredskapslyftet.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unit 6.0 aimed to help veterans reintegrate into civilian life by providing opportunities to acquire new professional skills, improve existing qualifications, career counseling &#8220;veteran to veteran,&#8221; and access decent employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7-768x432.jpg 768w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7-408x229.jpg 408w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7-299x168.jpg 299w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/88538cf3-0954-1256-85ea-e2de6a8a2eb7.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the program, LI lawyers Inna Kudinska, Alina Antonenko, Kateryna Shvets, and George Sandul delivered four interactive training sessions covering key aspects of labor law and labor market protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sessions provided participants with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an overview of Ukrainian labor legislation, current labor market regulations during martial law, and veterans&#8217; and PWDs&#8217; employment rights;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an introduction to the history, role, and importance of the trade union movement in Ukraine;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>practical approaches to identifying and addressing the most common labor rights issues faced by demobilized workers after returning to civil life from the military;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>useful legal tools and practical tips that veterans can apply in their daily work while advising other veterans seeking employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The training equipped participants not only with legal knowledge but also with practical skills that will strengthen their capacity to support fellow veterans in navigating the labor market and protecting their workplace rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"823\" src=\"https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e0471d7f-a42c-1a88-2755-dc669703196f-1024x823.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-7566\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e0471d7f-a42c-1a88-2755-dc669703196f-1024x823.png 1024w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e0471d7f-a42c-1a88-2755-dc669703196f-300x241.png 300w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e0471d7f-a42c-1a88-2755-dc669703196f-768x617.png 768w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e0471d7f-a42c-1a88-2755-dc669703196f-1536x1234.png 1536w, https:\/\/trudovi.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/e0471d7f-a42c-1a88-2755-dc669703196f.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>An important part of the event was devoted to community building and solidarity. During an interactive discussion, war veteran and former member of the Youth Committee of the Rail Workers&#8217; Union, Yevhen Stempkovskiy, together with practical psychologist Tetiana Yatsenko, explored how strong veteran communities can foster successful reintegration into civilian life.
