Unofficially Employed Worker Wins Unpaid Wages in Court

Labor Initiatives’ legal team assisted a worker who had been informally employed in proving his employment status and securing unpaid wages.

The worker was employed without a formal contract, in violation of Ukrainian labor law, and did not receive payment for a long time. Thanks to Labor Initiatives’ support and by presenting solid evidence alongside witness testimonies, the worker successfully demonstrated that he had worked at the company.

After reviewing the case, the appellate court ordered the company to pay the wage arrears and mandated the employer to make the necessary social security contributions.
