Why May Day Still Matters: New Union TV Video on the History of Workers’ Struggle
Union TV released a new educational video dedicated to the history and meaning of May Day and the continuing struggle for labour rights.
In the video, LI Legal Director George Sandul explores the origins of May 1, addressing common myths and misconceptions surrounding the holiday. He explains how the events connected to the workers’ protests in Chicago became one of the key symbols of the international labour movement and workers’ solidarity.
