Overtime Wage Payment Success

about-1

A female worker at a private company in the Kyiv region specializing in electrical facilities production was required to work overtime during her reference period. However, the employer failed to properly record these extra hours in the official timesheets, resulting in the absence of appropriate overtime payments. This affected not only her salary but also calculations for vacation pay, sick leave, and other related entitlements.

The worker sought legal assistance from Labor Initiatives (LI). LI lawyers provided a consultation and helped prepare a formal complaint demanding that the employer comply with labor legislation regarding accurate time tracking and overtime compensation.

Following the intervention, the employer addressed the issue: proper time tracking was reinstated, the number of working hours was reviewed, and the delayed overtime wages for the reference period were paid.
