Illegal Dismissed Bank Worker Reinstated and Compensated

With the legal assistance of Labor Initiatives, a bank worker wrongfully terminated from a Kyiv branch has been reinstated and granted compensation totaling UAH 102,118.

The worker reached out to Labor Initiatives’ free legal clinic after facing violations during the downsizing process, which breached Ukraine’s labour laws.

After a court case lasting more than a year, the dismissal order was deemed illegal, the worker was reinstated to their former position, and the employer was instructed to compensate for the entire time of forced absenteeism.
