Discrimination in Job Vacancies: What Candidates and Employers Need to Know — New Union TV Video

cat image

Union TV has released a new video explaining the updated rules on non-discriminatory job postings, which come into force in May 2025. Starting from this date, the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection will monitor vacancy announcements and may fine employers 80,000 UAH for discriminatory requirements — such as “men only,” “under 35,” or any other restrictions that violate candidates’ rights.

The video explains:

  • which requirements and phrases in job ads are considered discriminatory;
  • when specifying a candidate’s gender is legally permissible;
  • how applicants can file a complaint against an employer who violates equality regulations.

This information is essential for both job seekers and employers who want to comply with the updated legislation and avoid financial penalties.
