Understanding Unpaid Leave During Wartime: New Union TV Episode

During the full-scale invasion, legal regulations on unpaid leave in Ukraine were adjusted to reflect wartime circumstances and provide workers with the means for extended work absences. Currently, the Law of Ukraine “On Leaves” and the Law “On Regulation of Labor Relations Amid the War” outline two forms of unpaid leave categorized as “wartime.” 

The new episode of Union TV (with English subtitles) uncovers the differences between the two types, their conditions of granting, the maximum duration, and the categories entitled to each type of leave.
