Forwarding Company Worker Receives Around UAH 90,000 in Unpaid Wages

Lawyers from the NGO Labor Initiatives helped a forwarding company worker recover unpaid wages.

The worker contacted the Legal Clinic because the employer had failed to pay his wages for an extended period and had ignored all of his verbal requests.

Labor Initiatives lawyers helped prepare a formal demand to the employer for payment of the outstanding wages. They also prepared a complaint to the State Labour Service of Ukraine, requesting an inspection and accountability for those responsible.

After learning that the worker had contacted the State Labour Service, the employer reached out to him and offered to pay all outstanding amounts voluntarily.

As a result, the worker received around UAH 90,000 in unpaid wages.
