16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and Harassment
In the framework of the annual international campaign #16DaysOfActivism, Labor Initiatives convened four online events aimed at paying attention to the problem of violence and harassment in the workplace as well as empowering more women and girls.

On November 21 and December 5, LI attorneys spoke at two online trainings for 45 women organized in partnership with “VONA hub-Lviv.”
On November 24 and December 8, two lectures were carried out for 51 labor law students of Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University located in Kharkiv.

One of the presentations was devoted to the women`s labor guarantees. While some of them changed amid the war (like the work of women in hazardous and harmful conditions or their work underground), others are still in effect (maternity leave, working breastfeeding breaks for mothers, etc).

Noting the widespread problem of bullying and harassment at work, LI experts outlined the roots of this negative issue, legislative norms regulating and preventing this phenomenon, as well as particular litigation cases on proving bullying and harassment by the employer and coworkers.
