At the end of 2022, the report “Social Rights in Ukraine amid the War,” prepared under the Council of Europe Project “Promoting social human rights as a key factor of sustainable democracy in Ukraine,” was officially presented to the public. Labor Initiatives contributed to the Chapter “Labor Rights during the War” in the form of consultations and written proposals included in the final version of the report.

In the report, LI lawyers emphasized the main challenges and common violations workers in Ukraine face in wartime, described the situation with the suspension of employment contracts and abuses of power of employers introducing such suspension, and stressed the clauses of telework for public servants and employees of state-owned enterprises. Also, LI experts underscored their concerns in terms of the simplified mode of labor relations regulation and obstacles for labor inspections during wartime in Ukraine.
