Every month LI lawyers provide, on average, 20 oral and written consultations to internally displaced persons (IDPs). Common questions IDPs apply for are issues of transfer to remote work amid the war, suspension of employment agreements, payments during standstill periods, proofs of employment if an enterprise is destroyed in a bombardment, or is in currently besieged or occupied territory of Ukraine, and obtaining of a non-paid leave.
In the last five months, LI lawyers assisted 17 IDPs in getting unpaid leave of up to 90 calendar days. This type of unpaid leave is granted by the martial law regulations for workers who left their houses and obtained IDP certificates.
