LI Lawyers Train Young Energy Workers on Collective Bargaining

On June 15-16, LI lawyers Inna Kudinska and George Sandul participated as trainers at the first Youth Forum of the Trade Union of Energy and Electrotechnical Industry Workers of Ukraine, supported by 3F, the United Federation of Workers in Denmark.

Over the course of the two-day event, Inna and George delivered a series of training sessions focused on current labor legislation, ongoing legislative developments, and their potential impact on workers’ rights. Particular attention was given to the role of collective bargaining agreements as a powerful mechanism for improving working conditions, protecting workers’ interests, and strengthening social dialogue at the workplace.

The forum brought together more than 30 young participants, including workers of critical infrastructure enterprises and students from vocational education institutions. In addition to legal training, participants explored emerging trends shaping the labor market, including the growing influence of artificial intelligence and technological transformation on the world of work.

The program also featured interactive discussions and internal workshops dedicated to strengthening youth engagement within the trade union movement and developing the next generation of union leaders in the energy sector. Through knowledge-sharing, practical learning, and networking opportunities, the forum provided a valuable platform for empowering young workers and fostering their active participation in advancing labor rights and social justice.
