The Labor Initiatives legal clinic is the first national pro bono labor law clinic in Ukraine and the only organization of this kind in the country. Our lawyers provide free legal assistance to workers whose labor rights have been violated, support trade union initiatives, and help combat unfair labor practices in various sectors of the economy.

In 2025, the Labor Initiatives team persisted in their efforts despite wartime difficulties, rising unemployment instability, and a growing need to safeguard labor rights.

Key numbers of 2025

These numbers are more than statistics. Behind them are stories of people who recovered their earned wages, were reinstated at work, or received support in complex labor disputes.

Main topics

In 2025, we focused specifically on issues related to the war: the relocation of workplaces caused by enterprise displacement, suspension of employment contracts, the status of employees serving in the Armed Forces, and the safeguarding of veterans’ rights after they returned to civilian life.

Why It Matters

In times of war and economic instability, workers are especially vulnerable to labor rights violations. That is why access to free legal assistance remains critically important. The Labor Initiatives legal clinic works to ensure that every worker can access support, protection, and justice – regardless of their place of residence or income level.
