THE EUROPEAN NETWORK ON LABOR AND INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS (ELNI) MET IN KIEV

Labor Initiatives hosted a regional meeting of ELNI participants involving representatives of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, the National Confederation of Trade Unions of Moldova, and the Georgian Trade Union Confederation. The participants exchanged their experience of labor and union rights protection in light of current engagement of their countries with the IMF and other IFIs.

They discussed the importance of organized advocacy for worker rights in the political sphere, as well as provision of legal and educational practices, especially around economic policy.
