Public Servants Union: Training on Legal Framework on Collective Bargaining

On November 26, LI legal experts Inna Kudinska and George Sandul conducted a training session for the State Employees Union of Ukraine (SEUU) on best practices in collective bargaining and how the new national legislation on collective agreements aligns with European and international standards. 

The session took place along side the IX Congress of the union. Social dialogue and collective bargaining at all levels are among SEUU’s main priorities for the coming years. Previously, LI prepared a model collective bargaining agreement for local authorities, including councils and local communities (hromadas).

Inna and George shared practical tips and insights on bargaining in Ukraine and international practices and norms. They suggested ways to amend collective agreements at the local level, drawing on the best international trends on collective bargaining and provisions that reflect wartime challenges in Ukraine.
