RETIREMENT AGE REDUCED IN POLAND

Sejm of Poland voted for the reduction of retirement age from 67 to 65 years for men and 60 years for women on November 19.
The decision was supported by 262 deputies, 149 were against the reduction and 19 abstained from voting.
Previously, the PO-PSL coalition raised the retirement age up to 67 years for both men and women. The retirement age had to be raised gradually. Discussion of the bill in the Sejm of Poland took place simultaneously with the trade union demonstrations in Warsaw.
