Unofficially Employed Worker Wins Case for Unpaid Wages

Labor Initiatives’ legal team successfully assisted an unofficially employed worker in proving his employment and recovering unpaid wages.

The worker was hired without a written employment contract, violating Ukrainian labor laws, and hadn’t received wages for a long time. With legal help, the worker filed a lawsuit with compelling evidence, including witness testimonies, to prove the employment relationship.

After reviewing the case, the appellate court ruled in favor of the worker, ordering the company to pay the outstanding wages. The court also required the employer to make the necessary social security contributions on behalf of the worker.
