Postal Worker Triumphs in Supreme Court Case Regarding Illegal Disciplinary Action

A worker at one of Ukraine’s major postal companies successfully contested an unlawful disciplinary action following a two-year legal struggle that advanced to the Supreme Court Court.

The worker received a formal reprimand even though she consistently met her job responsibilities and upheld proper work discipline. She was also an elected union leader at the company. Nevertheless, the employer enforced the disciplinary action without securing the necessary consent from the union, constituting a clear national labor law violation.

Following years of legal battles, culminating in a final hearing at the Supreme Court, the reprimand has been formally revoked.
