Amendments to the Labor Code on Recovering Unpaid Wages Submitted to Parliament

On August 29, a group of MPs submitted a draft No.13664-1 to the Parliament, amending Article 233 of the Labor Code of Ukraine to give workers the right to file a claim for unpaid wages at any time. 

Workers are now only able to file a claim in court within three months of wage arrears. This regulation, introduced in July 2022, has considerably limited worker rights. 

The draft law suggests eliminating this time limit, enabling workers to sue their employer without any restrictions.
