Draft Law #2681 “Concerning Some Issues of Trade Union Activity”: An update of major issues of concern in relation to international law, national norms, and workers’ rights
On 27th of December the Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft law "On labor" and next day it was submitted to the parliament under No.2708. On 27th of December there was also registered the draft law № 2681On amending the law on trade unions which undermines the freedom of association in Ukraine, narrows the right to form labor unions, and also seizes labor union property.
On September 19, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the draft law No. 1066 “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on the State Authorities System reboot”.
Inna Kudinska, lawyer at Labor initiatives, gave a speech at the Parliament of Ukraine during a historic parliamentary hearing on the rights of women from vulnerable groups. A record 700 participants were registered, and 30 of those were given the floor. Ms. Kudinska also spoke at the hearing, bringing attention to women’s labor rights, and women’s economic empowerment.
