On October 25, 2023, in the framework of partnership with the Labor Law Department of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, George Sandul, LI legal director, and Inna Kudinska, a lawyer affiliated with LI and SC in Ukraine, held an online lecture for 54 students and young scholars of the national university.

On October 5, George Sandul, LI legal director, co-chaired a regular meeting of the Expert Council on Economic and Social Rights, which functions under the auspices of the Human Rights Ombuds Office of Ukraine. The meeting was devoted to the draft Law on Labor recently sent to the social partners for consideration.
On October 2-4, the FPU (Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine) Youth Council convened the All-Ukrainian Forum of Union Youth, encompassing more than 40 representatives of young unionists across Ukraine. The welcoming remarks to participants were made by Esther Lynch, who visited Kyiv with a high-level delegation of EU social partner representatives these days. Among other speakers were representatives of the State Labor Service, employers associations, ministries, the National Qualification Agency, and the State Unemployment Center.
On September 20, Inna Kudinska, a lawyer affiliated with Labor Initiatives and Solidarity Center, and George Sandul, Labor Initiatives legal director, took part as trainers in the trade union school for young union activists called “The Power of Solidarity” supported by Swedish Public Servants Union Fackförbundet ST and conducted by the Youth Committee of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine.
On September 8-9, the ILAW Network held a regional convening in Warsaw, gathering about 30 participants from Europe and Central Asia. Labor Initiatives lawyers Nadiia Yolkina, Kateryna Shvets, and Alina Muzychenko joined SC Regional Program Director Rudy Porter and SC Ukraine Country Program Director Tristan Masat at the ILAW conference.
In August 2023, the International Lawyers Assisting Workers Network (ILAW) released its newest Issue Brief - Fighting for Lives and Livelihoods: Workers, the Pandemic and the Law, which includes an essay with an analysis of how workers fought for their lives and livelihood during the COVID-19 pandemic by using the law to their advantage. It is accompanied by 11 country-specific case studies detailing worker wins during the pandemic.
On August 3, George Sandul, Labor Initiatives legal director, and Inna Kudinska, a lawyer affiliated with Solidarity Center, held an online training session for Public Servants Union youth committee during the seminar called “Expanding Rights and Possibilities for Young Workers in Ukraine” supported by Swedish civil servants’ union Fackförbundet ST.
On July 27, the Ombuds Office in Ukraine initiated a round table on law enforcement challenges in Ukraine. Among the speakers were law practitioners, judges of the Supreme Court of Ukraine, private enforcers, the Ministry of Justice, and the Human Rights Ombuds Office representatives.

On July 17, LI attorneys Nadiia Yolkina and Kateryna Shvets took part in a special project of Hromadske Radio - an hour-long Youtube interview with experts on topics related to discrimination against women, particularly on the labor market in Ukraine.
